I'm thankful to the readers of this website. It has an international audience of people who aren't shy to use the feedback form at the bottom of every page. These readers are generous with their time and effort to send me broken links, misspellings (pilots are terrible at spelling), and useful comments which add to and extend the topic at hand. In the eight years I've been operating this website, there have been consistent themes in the feedback. This has provided plenty of material for me to write and write and write. I constantly add content depending on requests & questions I receive, search terms used to find this website, and student experiences. Content is added weekly, so check this website often. I'd love to hear your thoughts to make it better. One Million Hits! In its 7th year of operation, this website gets between 25,000 to 35,744 hits per month. March 2008 was our highest traffic month to date at 35,744 unique visitors. It took 4 years to hit our quarter-millionth viewer in October 2006. It only took nine months to reach a half-million visitors in July 2007. It took 4 years to get to 250,000 hits and doubled that in the 5th year to get 1/2 million hits. On Labor Day, 2009 (September 7th, 2009), this website achieved a major milestone: one million hits. In less than 7 years this website has gone from a 20 page business card to an information portal that focuses on providing information. Over the next year, you'll see a variety of new exciting changes... I'm looking for another million hits! Usage reports provided by my hosting provider are analyzed to determine referring page, search terms used, and popular topics. To make the website more valuable to pilots, new content is added based on the results of those usage reports. Major updates are posted every two months with almost constant, daily additions.
